Bali Travel guide by Friend in Fashion

Each time I return to Bali, this beautiful island captivates me.

The people – kind and hospitable, the weather – a tropical treat (provided you don’t mind the humidity). A destination equaled in natural and constructed beauty – a combination which keeps me coming back for more.

  • STAY

I love to stay in Seminyak – right in the heart of all the action – plenty of great accommodation, restaurant options and of course shopping. If you’re after something a little more off the beaten track – then you could try a local village like Canggu – where I stayed on my last visit to Bali (HERE).

  • EAT
There are so many incredible dining options in Bali – equal to some of the best food I’ve enjoyed anywhere in the world – here are a few of my current favourites:

Mamma San
La Lucciola
Soleil (Mulia Hotel – Nusa Dua)

  • PLAY

When it comes to fun in the sun – Bali nails it! Poolside cocktails, picture perfect sunsets and amazing tunes all on the cards. You can’t miss:
Potato Head
Ku De Ta
W Hotel

Either hire a driver (many private villas will have this as a service you can take advantage of), hop in a cab, or if you’re a bit more brave, hire a scooter and venture out of town to experience another side of Bali. Must visits are:

Karma Kandara Amazing views! Take the cable car down to the beach and enjoy lunch in the cove

Rock Bar – get there early as it is a place on every tourists itinerary – busy but a perfect spot to enjoy an incredible Bali sunset

Nusa Dua – white sandy beaches and crystal blue water. About 20kms from Seminyak

  • SHOP

Hands down, one of my favourite places to shop in Bali is Lulu Yasmine.

Megali Pascal is another beautiful boutique along the main street in Seminyak.
